A logo is the emblem of a company or enterprise. In a broad sense, this term is interpreted as a graphic image symbolizing the image and philosophy of a particular organization. For this reason, in the modern business world, applying a logo to the packaging of goods, along with printing brochures, catalogs and other types of advertising printing, is a mandatory part of creating a company’s image.
Types of logos
Depending on the combination of elements used, the following types of emblems are distinguished.
Text. This type of logo contains the name of the organization in a specific font. Depending on the typeface used, there are classic typefaces, whose task is solely to convey information to the reader, and decorative ones, which additionally form an attractive image of the logo.
Symbolic. This logo is an original sign associated with the company applied to the packaging. To make it easier to perceive, the shape of the emblem is stylized to resemble various geometric shapes. Graphic elements are characterized by ambiguity and imagery, increasing the degree of memorability of the symbol in the minds of consumers.
Combined. This type combines an original graphic element and text. With the help of combined type emblems, a high degree of memorization efficiency is achieved and the visual appeal of a long company name is increased.
Advantages
Rational use of material. Applying a logo to the wrapper of a product or promotional souvenir product transforms the packaging from the category of a consumable material into the status of a carrier of useful information. This method is part of the formation of the organization’s image.
Wide dissemination of information. Since many types of packaging are reusable products (bags, boxes, etc.), most of them, after receipt, are used by their owners for household purposes. At the same time, the costs of promotional items are one-time, and their validity period is limited by the degree of quality of the product.
Increasing the company’s status in the eyes of consumers. The presence of branded packaging of goods or advertising and souvenir products increases the respectability of the organization in the eyes of partners and consumers.
