Applying a logo to hats is one of the popular areas for producing promotional products. Caps and baseball caps with the symbols of the organization can be used as accessories that complement the corporate style of employees during an event or daily work, when visiting new clients, etc. In addition, these products, along with POS materials, are used as handout advertising in time of presentations and other similar events. The functionality and possibility of long-term use of this type of media ensure the demand and high efficiency of personalization of headwear. A distinctive feature of such advertising products is their complex shape, which makes it difficult to use silk-screen printing (direct printing of an image). One of the most popular methods of personalizing hats is silk transfer.

Technology

Applying images using this method involves the use of an intermediate medium (transfer), which is made from special paper. At the first stage of production, the logo is printed on a sticker (most often using silk-screen printing), from which it is subsequently transferred to a baseball cap or cap under pressure and high temperature. In this case, the sticker, as an intermediate carrier, is removed from the textile surface. To perform this operation, a specialized heat press is used, equipped with an appropriate attachment that repeats the geometry of a specific headdress. Using the silk transfer method makes it possible to correctly apply a logo to items that are difficult to process, have eyelets, stripes, small components, etc.

Advantages

Printing on media with complex geometry. The thermal transfer method makes it possible to create durable images on textiles with convex shapes. In addition, this technology allows the use of fabric with a large weave of fibers (linen, mesh fabrics, etc.) as a logo base, the structure of which makes it difficult to use conventional paints and direct printing.

High image detail. This technology allows you to create the thinnest lines (from 0.6 mm) of the desired colors. Thus, the use of silk transfer ensures almost photographic accuracy of the original image, including additional elements that imitate the texture of the material.

Economical production. The use of silk transfer technology makes it possible to avoid the formation of unused remnants of the circulation, as it allows you to print a large batch of intermediate media, and apply only a part to headdresses for immediate use. In the future, the placement of the logo can be adjusted, several images can be combined (if appropriate stickers are available), etc.
